Feeling Unhappy? Prescribe Inspiration and Take Your Daily Dose
Being unhappy, you might say, “Why am I not happy? Maybe something is wrong with me.” Being uninspired, “I’m not worried about not being inspired because that isn’t scary and certainly doesn’t mean something is wrong with me.”
We don’t assume we need Prozac when we aren’t inspired because we know it’s easy to jump into an inspired activity, which is intended to be short term.
If we indulge in enough inspired activities, they’ll slowly compound into living every week and then every day more inspired. Before we know it, we’re living the inspired life and there isn’t room or purpose anymore to settle into unhappiness.
Next time you are feeling less than happy, prescribe yourself two genuinely inspiring experiences each day. Required, doctors orders. And if you’re struggling with depression, inspiration can absolutely help, but please seek the medical or therapeutic support you need. Inspiration can only help you connect with your true self, enjoy life and infuse positive energy.
