Focus on the Why
We’ve covered the purpose of focusing on the why, so now we have to practice it. If we want to lose weight, we have to connect with something deeper than being able to fit in our desired pant size. If we want to stop a bad habit, we have to focus on more than simply not doing it.
Make a vision board (or use the background on your phone) for the whys. We can put up photos on our desks or nightstands about the why to remind us. Consciously choose to focus on the why when you find your mind obsessing about the what. Eventually, it will become a more natural way of thinking, and you’ll feel intrinsically motivated from the inside out.
