HAPPINESS

Calm energy, light, euphoric

INSPIRATION

Energizing, feeling alive, feeling connected

At first thought, don’t we all want to feel euphoric, floating along a calm summer breeze without a care in the world?

Sometimes we want to feel light and easy, especially when we need a break from life’s daily challenges. Unfortunately, this type of feeling is exactly that: a break from life at it’s worst, when instead we can enjoy the feeling of living life at it’s best.

Pursuing this type of easy, breezy happiness can lead to escape behavior, including alcohol and drugs, as a way to unnaturally increase dopamine and shut out real life. Instead of seeking for life to feel easy, we can seek to be inspired.

When we’re inspired, we feel alive, energized and connected within the core of our life. We get relief from life’s challenges, but we do so through diving into life, not shutting it out.

What do you love to do? What do you get lost in? Whether it’s a favorite hobby, sport or SOMETHING, you know you’re inspired when you naturally are so focused in the present activity that you forget to worry about your to-do list or work drama or that your toddler refuses to potty train.
